Slice Of Life Working Party

​​In preparation for the arrival of our 'Slice of Life' pizza van, we are holding a series of work parties to clear and dismantle the sheds under the tree behind the church and then to create a level area parking area.
We made a start yesterday, and will be meeting again on Thursday afternoon, 20th Feb 1.30-4.30 and next Sunday afternoon 23rd Feb 2.30-4.30.

The Lectio Course - How to Hear God by Praying the Bible
This year’s Lent Course is designed to help us deepen our prayer life as we draw near to God through Scripture and prayer. We will be running this with Churches Together in Burley.
The course comprises 5 sessions, one each week, and each session includes videos, discussion and the opportunity try out what we’ve learned.
There will be 3 times and venues for the course, each starting:

Monday 10 March at 1.30pm in St Mary’s Parish Centre
Tuesday 11 March at 7.30pm at SS Fisher More Church Hall
Thursday 13 March at 10.30am in the Methodist Church Welcome Area
You are welcome to swap between venues to suit you.

Tuesday Coffee will start again this Tuesday, January 7th after the Christmas break. Hilary will be there with her Fairtrade stall. It’s always a very friendly get-together. If you haven’t been before, why not give it a try?

We had a bumper collection of tinned and dried food, and toiletries, on Thursday, January 2nd.
Many thanks to all who donated. It was all very gratefully received at PAFRAS in Leeds. Our next collection will be on Thursday, February 6th at the front of church from 10.00 am to 11.30 am.
